Ackermann Bartlett 1818 Transformation

Tuck Front
Deck image

A historical transformation deck of the early 19th century, precisely recreated with strict adherence to the original 1818 designs. According to some sources, these cards were first designed and later transformed into stipple engravings by an Austrian artist of Vienna. The cutout playing card deck was published by Heinrich Friedrich Müller in 1817-1818. Then in 1833, a set of these playing cards was published by C. Bartlett in New York, derived from modified designs originally issued in the Repository of Art periodical by Rudolph Ackermann.
