Wars of the Roses (Seconds Gilded Edition)2026

Welcome to 15th-century England. At this time, two major families, the Lancasters and the Yorks, were engaged in a decades-long epic conflict for the throne, plunging the entire country into a war that would later be known as the "Wars of the Roses". We combined war history with Shakespeare's play Henry VI and created this series of playing cards in a retro woodcut print style, presenting an overall elegant and noble classical feel. The King, Queen and Jack of the Court Cards are all the main legendary figures of this war. During the first printing run, due to a machine malfunction, there was a noticeable color difference in the background color on the front of the cards. We discovered this issue during the full inspection process after the edge dyeing/edge coating was completed. These decks were packaged in new tuckboxes and sold as Seconds Editions.
