No.17 V.02 features revised and refined face cards from the previous version by adding warm hues on red cards and cooler tones on the black cards. All Queens assumed frontal poses, while Jacks and Kings showcased their profiles. The court card backgrounds were also enhanced and excepts from from the Iliad, the Æneid, the Odyssey, and other ancient texts were added for each suit . The four Aces also underwent a radical transformation giving them a uniform visual prominence with a black cats incorporated into the Aces of Spades. The Unbranded version features a predominately white card back similar to the V.01.
