Love & Retribution - Part II (Gilded)
Inspired by our Love & Retribution story, set in Victorian England. The decks are illustrated throughout with painstaking hand-drawn characters and details and feature fully custom artwork and design elements at every turn, while maintaining the roots of classic decks of playing cards every bit as functional as they are pleasant on the eye. The court cards are painstakingly drawn as the characters who reside in and around Fairhurst Manor in 1800s Lancashire, and have been drawn in such a way as to reflect the posing of classic, standard court cards of the English pattern. Deck 1 features a decorated Ace of Hearts (the Ace of Spades is decorated in Deck 2). The Jokers in each deck tell a story. When placed side-by-side, the Jokers from each deck form a diptych depicting a scene from the book.
