Hatch Show Print Traditional

For Hatch Show Print, working with the iconic United States Playing Card Company (aka Bicycle Playing Cards) is a celebration of the traditions of two American businesses nearly halfway through their second centuries in operation (Hatch Show Print opened in 1879, United States Playing Card Company was established in 1885) that leverage twenty-first century technology to make fun stuff. Every single visual element that makes up the colorful graphics of these decks of playing cards comes from the hand-carved printing blocks that have been created and used in the print shop from the early twentieth century to today. The typography and graphic elements are taken directly from the wood type and dingbats we use every day in the shop too.
