Origins Grail

Playing cards have evolved over many hundreds of years, with the echoes of the pattern we know today forming around the 15th century in Rouen, France. A design emerged that was adopted and copied in England, and then spread across the globe. Rick worked with card historians, museums and archives in his search for this original art. His reference material includes pieces from the Bibliothèque nationale de France, British Museum, Archives Department of Seine-Maritime, and Fitzwilliam Museum of Cambridge. The Grail deck is limited edition of 2500 decks and will not be printed again. The Grail cards feature a subtly different silver accented metallic colour scheme to the First Edition. The tuck features embossing and is printed with gold foil on a special pearlesque stock.
