Dark Patina (Red)
x/1000 Bones. Water. Wings. Glass. Seeds. Bugs. Clouds. These have all become symbols to me. Symbols like the suits and imagery of playing cards. When I set out to create a piece of art, I choose symbols that are meaningful to myself so, when I set out to design my own deck of cards I wondered why these symbols were chosen by ancient peoples before me. I felt like they could not have been random. Those who came before me must have found meaning in the symbols of the cards as well. In my deck, the chronicles began to unfold as I painted.
